Hi Larry,
I have just downloaded our 40/20 database (ponder off).
Here I found out we made about 1300 games with Komodo 4.0 and 100 are not made with SSE4 I think as they are made on a Q6600 and a E5200 Intel PC. The opponents have been Critter 1.4 and Houdini 2.0c and of course too not SSE4.

So I think - these games do not make any differences in our rating.

Hope soon to see Komodo MP - as awaited there are not much new commercial engines now...

best wishes

Yes, that sounds about right. Quite in line with my own testing.

Don't worry this is normal. DC 3.1 is stronger than DC 3.0. At 1"+1" I've measured 35 elo in self play after 1000 games. So it must also be stronger at any time control, given the nature of the miodifications. But generally DC (whichever version) scales poorly with increasing time. Compared to its peers it performs better at bullet time control than long tc like 40/20. I don't know know why (or else I would fix it), but perhaps it's because it has a better search and weaker chess knowledge than other programs of the same level. Or that it plays speculatively, like attributing large positional bonuses for things that are not permanent: it may work at ultra fast games but backfire with more time. Well I don't know. I need to watch mre long games and see if there's anything wrong in the eval by looking at lost games perhaps.
