Any expectation for the IPhone 5? 8-)
I don't know why the iPad 4 is faster, as they both contain the same chip as far as I know. But previous versions of iPad and the same iPhone with identical processor have had iPad a little bit faster. Maybe Apple underclock the iPhone for battery.
Yup that was stated several times on different websites. same chip but iphone is underclocked for battery. IMO, the ipad shouldn't be a lot faster than the iphone with the same chip.

iPhone 4s=225500< iPad 2=274000
iPhone 5=476800< iPad4=510000
So the latest versions of iPhone and iPad is less than 7% and the previous version was over 20%. Don't know why Apple choose to do this underclocking as the same version of the iPod touch is also less again.

To save battery. The larger the screen size is, the more battery it drains.

Besides resolution and Android 4..2 the Asus Infinity Pad t700 should be a much better tablet. It has quad core. That's the one I'm interested in.

Wait till you see the numbers on the Asus infinity t700. It has a very fast quad core too.

Concerning my test on my new Galaxy Note 2 , I should have added that I am using Droidfish based on SF 2.3.1 ......

Some of the other benchmarks were 2.2

Question : Does 714k on my telephone = 714 k on my desktop ?

( in terms of SF strength )

Thanks ,

Not sure if this thread is active anymore but here are some data for iPad Mini:

Setup: Starting position
Analyzing speed after 2 min: 277500 n/s (277,5 Kn/s)
Hardware: Apple A5 dual-core (32 nm)
OS: iOS 6.0.2
App: Stockfish (version 2.4)
Engine: Stockfish 2.3.1 (I believe this is the engine used but I'm not 100% sure)
