ok. but we need a solution NOW. why not use the backside of the phone with e-ink and the front with normal technology.
mirasol might work in the future.
as your text says:
The technology is still being developed and nowhere close to production.
so far the backside of the mobile is not used today.
even worse, some manufacturers even make it with glass, and do not use the space behind the glass (galaxy nexus 4, lg optimus G).
it COULD be used with e-ink !
i look forward to see this yota phone or the onyx mobile beeing published.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....
Now this is interesting. A new Intel mobile CPU with 4 real physical cores! (Not virtual Hyperthreading!) This one finaly has Out-of-Order execution absent in the previous design. http://www.gsmarena.com/intel_introduce ... s-6156.php
I know you said something about 32kb + 32kb L1 cache size vs. 16kb +16kb L1 cache size as the reason why Note II has a tremendously higher stockfish node speed vs. the s4 (although s4 is clocked higher). But what bothers me is why in all the other popular benchmarks the S4 absolutely crushes the Note II by a far distance. Shouldn't L1 cache also help the Note II in these benchmarks?
Do you think the reason why the Note II decimates s4 in Stockfish benchmarks while s4 decimates Note II in other popular benchmarks is because the s4 is cheating at those benchmarks?
