Hi Ferdinand,
How do you generate that interesting results view?
I update this table manually, at the end of each match (notepad++)! :-(

The base table is the following:

Code: Select all

ITALY N.1_____________
                      |______________________
GUEST N.8_____________|                      |
                                             |______________________
GUEST N.4_____________                       |                      |
                      |______________________|                      |

ITALY N.6_____________|

I read the Italian participants ordered by the result of step 6
I read the Guest participants ordered by the result of step 1

when I said "... and automate some things backend" I was referring to this.

I use Arena, this interface can create a text file with the following format:

Code: Select all

   Engine           Score      Bo     Ch    S-B
1: Booot 5.2        6.0/6  ······ 111111    0.00
2: Chaturanga 2.4.3 0.0/6  000000 ······    0.00
...

I could ...
1) read this text file on the client at standard intervals of time or after the end of each game (making sure that all other operations are completed and that the file is not locked)
2) read only the useful information
3) update the information on the table (must be entered before ...

Code: Select all

<head>
<meta http-Equiv="Cache-Control" Content="no-cache">
<meta http-Equiv="Pragma" Content="no-cache">
<meta http-Equiv="Expires" Content="0">
</head>
<pre>
,

Code: Select all

</pre>

after, and rename the file with the extension html)

4) send the file via FTP to the server

But I do not really like to create programs specifically related to Arena.
Right now I'm thinking of an alternative solution, if not find another solution, I will do as described.
Deuterium would like to participate next time
I think it'll increase the number of guest participants for the next edition from 10 to 20 :)
