A new test for this wonderful chess engine written in Python is ready !
I understand,of course, CEGT & CCRL are extremely busy with derivatives .
Well, Mr.Ruxy for this is here ! He has a lot of CPU time, knows how to run a Python (or Ruby, or Haskell, or.....) chess engine !

My final verdict: Python_28_09_2014 has around 1130 Elo points (tested at 4'+2" TC).

The final cross-table:

Image

THANK YOU, Mr.Thomas, for your superb chess engine written in Python !

From tomorrow : tests for Haskell chess engine Barbarossa of Mr.Nicu Ionita (of course never tested by IPON, TCEC, CCRL or CEGT) !

Night regards,
SilvianR

Re: Barbarossa and Lovelace test (after 65 games)

Post by Sylwy »

Hello CCC forum !

Despite the mysterious & unexpected disparition of my extremely dear EU quality kitten on CCC forum (that happened yesterday night CET  ), Herr Ruxy hardly works to a new & important test !

Conditions:

-Hash=basically 64 MB (Lovelace has a fixed hash)
-TC=5'/40 moves (with repetition)
-GUI=Arena 3.0
-CPU=Athlon 64 +3800

Barbarossa 0.01 is written in Haskell (the best Haskell chess program ever) by a Romanian living (now) in Austria: Mr.Nicu Ionita !
AdaChess and Lovelace are two chess programs written in ADA !

Fortunately two engines have a rating on CCRL (4/40):

-AdaChess 2.0..................1611 Elo
-Philemon C......................1589 Elo

Image

If you like the true chess game, below you can see how Barbarossa 0.01 crushed (some minutes ago) AdaChess 2.0. Beautiful ! Over this Stock of fishes o.o.oo.5 !

Only +40 games from yesterday !
Extremely sorry !
But................tomorrow will be the first round in the Presidential Elections here in Romania. Mr.Ruxy (and his team[his EU kitten, his both Shepherd Dogs, even Frau Ruxy] ) are very busy ! An uber secret: here -in IASI - Herr Klaus Werner Johannis (the Mayor of Sibiu - Hermannstadt) is by far the favourite ! By far !

Re: The best Basic chess engine (ProChess 1.02AD)

Post by Sylwy »

Well, in CCRL 4/40 here is the situation of ProChess 1.02AD (the best chess engine written in Basic) - after TWO years and only 10 GAMES played (I think the electricity costs a lot of money in West  ):

Image

The engine author is Mr.Edoardo Manino/Italy.

Below is my test:

Image

I think ProChess 1.02AD has 2200 Elo points (CCRL 4'/40 moves).

An extras: like Mr.Ruxy anticipated in the previous post - Herr Klaus Werner Johannis was on the first place in IASI City in the Presidential Elections 2014 (the 1-st round) !!! A superb team work !!! The socialists (well, I say socialists because I want to be polite  ) are debusolated here !!!

Hey CCC !

Here's the final cross-table for Barbarossa 0.01. Mr.Nicu Ionita created an amazing chess engine in Haskell ! CONGRATULATIONS !

Image

I think Barbarossa 0.01 has a bit over 1600 Elo points (CCRL 4/40).
Untested in both CCRL & CEGT !

Did you try looking at the 40/40 list where ProChess 1.02AD has 720 games for a rating of 2179?
