The 1-st of December is the National Day of Romania !

Just two samples !

===============================================

Well, about my test : Deuterium 14.3.43.130 on 32-bit is not a great success. Weaker than the previous ! I'm extremely sorry !

Conditions:

-TC = 4'+2"
-Hash = 128 MB
-Book = Shredder12.ctg
-GUI = Fritz 11
-CPU = Athlon 64 3800+

Both Deuterium were linked to Scorpio egbbs.
EXchess 7.18b was linked to Nalimov TBs.

SilvianR

Re: Stockfish 261114 w32 comparative test !!!

Hello !

Conditions:

-TC = 4'+2"
-Hash = 128 MB
-Book = Shredder12.ctg
-GUI = Fritz 11
-CPU = Athlon 64 3800+

Komodo 8 (1288.00) was linked to Syzygy Bases.
Stockfish 5 was linked to Syzygy Bases (I used the version compiled by Mr. Ronald de Man).
Stockfish 031114 & 261114 haven't the support for Syzygy Bases !

The next Friday - the result of my test for the last version 301114 w32 (resolves # 140) ! This version has integrated the support for Syzygy Bases !

An amazing engine !

Like general general info: in Romania is a superb winter !

Like bonus ( ) - an image from my area:

Hello !

Conditions:

-TC = 4'+2"
-Hash = 128 MB
-Book = Shredder12.ctg
-GUI = Fritz 11
-CPU = Athlon 64 3800+

Komodo 8 was linked to Syzygy Bases.
Stockfish 301114 was linked to Syzygy Bases.

Image

Komodo 8 was linked to Syzygy Bases.
Stockfish 261114 wasn't linked to Syzygy Bases (I used the old compile - without Syzygy support).

Image

Komodo 8 was linked to Syzygy Bases.
Stockfish 5 was linked to Syzygy Bases (Ronald de Man binary).

Image

====================
The best version for my 32-bit system rests 261114 (withouth Syzygy support) !
====================

The next week I'll do two tests : version 261114 with Syzygy support ( I have some suspicions) and the last version (041214) !

Like bonus: a capture from my last test:

Image

Have a nice weekend (here is a superb winter) !

Hello !

Conditions:

-TC = 4'+2"
-Hash = 128 MB
-Book = Shredder12.ctg
-GUI = Fritz 11
-CPU = Athlon 64 3800+

Komodo 8 was linked to Syzygy Bases.

Test 1 - Stockfish 261114 binary without access to Syzygy Bases ( the old compile) - is the best engine I have (until now) on my 32-bit machine:

Test 2 - Stockfish 261114 linked to Syzygy Bases (the new compile):

On Wednesday evening the result of 081214 version (author: Ernesto Gatti ) !

Thanks for the test Ruxy. This is one of the difficulties in engine development, for now I usually test with engines within my_rating-20 to my_rating+50. I have observed that engines that you have not played usually get good results against you. I will take a note with this result, and consider Exchess in my future gauntlet tests.

Hello, Maestro Mosca !

I have "markers" for each engine. Always the same. If the test is passed the community has a new strong engine !
I like your Deuterium ! I test only the engines which I consider to be interesting (programming language, architecture, style of play , strength & so on) !

Ah those Ciucas mountains look amazing.

How did those rocks take such shapes? Did they get pushed about a bit by glaciers?

Get a chance to visit the countryside yourself sometimes?

Here in the Netherlands no hills at all ofcourse. Neither much scary night dwellers. I want to visit the Carpathian mountains ever since I saw the 1979 version of Nosferatu. :)

Hello !

1.-NO !
Ciucas Mountains (like Rarau Mountains in Northern Moldavia) belong to the Oriental Carpathians. ! Here is the most powerful European earthquakes area (Vrancea Mountains). Most of the mountains here (Eastern Romania) have a volcanic origins.
Some mountains in Southern Romania (mainly Fagaras - see the below photos) have also a glacial origins.

2.-YES !
The Carpathian Mountains are my 2-nd house ! I was born here (Bicaz), I'm near every weekend here, I have a little house here. Not much people in Romania knows these mountains like me. In Europe ? Only some very few experts, and only some areas. I know places here where the man is a decade exception !
Tourism ? Nope ! The mainly occupation of governors here has been to steal ! Singles or together with big corporations (see Microsoft scandal, EADS scandal & soooooo many more) !
Not to tell you that Chevron explore for fracking in a little village in Vaslui country (Pungesti) daily guarded by hundreds of gendarmes ! A sample of democracy in EU ! Wasn't any debate here, of course ! And the legislation is from the 18-th century ! El Dorado, man !
3.-Here I'm ! Still ! The old Ruxy will wait until the age of 115 years (I promised that to someone once), then..............

Salutations to YOU & Nemeton !
SilvianR

Only three images with Fagaras Mountains (can be written a lot of books only about these mountains):
