I expect Skipper to skip this tournament for it's ELO is far below average.

I thought I'd cheer you up a bit by mentioning my intention (no timeline unfortunately) of making a new engine with my current one as starting point which focuses on cramming as much positional knowledge as possible into it, even if it significantly weakens it! The goal is not to make a strong engine, but a fairly "human-like" one. I have no idea how much weaker/slower it'll get but chances are high it'll at least be within reach of skipper, as my engine is one of the weakest above it.

You're getting great turnouts! I'd love to include Myrddin as well, but unfortunately I've been busy during the last several tournaments. Hopefully next month!

Indeed, I am quite happy with the attendance, and especially that not all participants are 2600+ engines, but that they populate the entire range from 1800 Elo up. (Of course NEG is about 0 Elo; I just joined it to avoide a bye.)
