Re: Komodo 8-9-9.1 comparative test

Post by Sylwy »

Hello CCC folks !

A friend of mine did a very interesting triple test: Stockfish 6 versus Komodo8-Komodo 9 & Komodo 9.1. The results are extremely interesting (for example - compare please Komodo 8 result versus Komodo 9 result) !

Conditions:

-128 MB hash
-TC = 4'+2"
-a very basic entry-level PC (1 CPU; 32-bit OS).

All engines were linked to Syzygy Bases.

Image

Like bonus a test of Komodo 8 versus a good development version (24-05-2015-v14):

Image

The results (and many more) show me that Komodo is a chess engine optimized for high-end systems.

Hello CCC folks !

Conditions:

-TC = 4'+2"
-Hash = 128 MB
-Books = Shredder12.ctg
-GUI = Fritz 11
-CPU = Athlon 64 3800+
-OS = Windows XP SP3

Shredder 11 UCI was linked to Nalimov TBs and Shredder bases (loaded into the RAM memory).
Hakkapeliitta 3.0 was linked to Syzygy Bases.

Image

In my opinion Hakkapeliitta 3.0 w32 it's very close to 2900 Elo CCRL 4/40 !
A superb chess engine coming from Finland !

SilvianR

NR: until the midd of August Ruxy is in mountains ! So, no boring tests !

Thanks! The result is between the expected margins; this new version is more improved in multithread mode.
