Huawei Mate 8 using next gen Cortex-A72 at 16nanometer is the thing to look for.

No one is crazy enough to buy that thing I guess.
What's the advantage over an ipad or a good galaxy tablet or a surface pro or a light thin laptop?

More or less I agree but the new bigger display is attractive....

Will be a tad faster than iPad Pro (~10%) and much faster (~45%) than the 6s or 6s+

The iPads are pretty nice! I have an iPad Mini 2 and it gets a lot of use.

Just installed Droidfish on my new Fire tv box. :D
It’s no phone or tab; but the bench result gives a first peek at what we can expect from next years midrange smartphones.

Fire tv 2015, Mediatek MT8173 cpu with 2x Cortex A72 @ 2 ghz + 2x Cortex A53 @ 1.57 ghz:

544 kn/s with 1 thread
1042 kn/s with 2 threads, and
1456 kn/s with 4 threads

Hope we're not just the biological boot loader for digital super intelligence. Unfortunately, that is increasingly probable - Elon Musk

Thanx bro! that data provides rough estimate for the Huawei Mate 8 which has double the amount of threads the Fire tv has with slightly higher clock at 2.3ghz 4cores Cortex A72 + 1.8 ghz 4cores Cortex A53.

My bet (and wish) is 3000 kn/s for the 8 threads and we have new record! :)

3000 kn/s is roughly what is expected from the iPad pro.

Unbelievable that more than one month after the release of this iPad, NOBODY has provided those numbers.

It looks like this new iPad is quite a flop
