So conceivably, one could, in that situation, detect that you enter the TB because the stronger side sacrifices a piece (your opponent captured and now you have a won TB position, but your own last move was not a capture). In that situation, you know that you have at least a mate-in-X, maybe (probably) better if you don't sacrifice for the conversion.
