Fyi, there is another engine that can play crazyhouse, called Feuerstein. The link used to be http://people.freenet.de/FritzSchach/ but it's a dead link now. I think it was open source (in Pascal).

Its handle on FICS is "Thukydides" with a crazyhouse rating of 2263.

I just sent a message to Ola, he has done a zh tour in the past including this engine.

Could you share a windows compile of this updated version?

Thanks in advance,
Carlos

There are bug fixes that are not committed yet.

* Fix on pawn double-step check evasion
* Fix on reverting back to a pawn the captured promoted piece
* Fix on promotion move format, promoted piece must be in lower case

These are now implemented in the source, the 64bit exe is also included.

There is a link to download Crazybot and on the 3rd page, the author of a private crazyhouse engine (Zheng 1.0.8) posted a result where his engine beat Imortal 2.0 in a 120 games match at 5'+5" tc.

Crazybot was created by one of the Sunsetter authors. I thought it may be a weakened version of Sunsetter, but I'm not sure.

I got Feuerstein 0.4.6.1 32bit from Ola. I apply inbetween to it because it does not say feature variants="crazyhouse", and Winboard 4.8.0b and Cute Chess do not like that. It looks fine so far now, but I need more tests.

It played instantly under winboard gui when played vs other engine at TC 60+1 inc and TC 40/60.

Also Cute Chess gui does not identify it as an engine that can play crazyhouse. Even when inbetween is applied, Cute Chess still refuses it to accept as a zh engine.

So I am not testing it and including it in the zh rating list.

I will stop testing this engine as it leaks memory.
