To many draws in these games. They are afraid to make a wrong move because they are to dump to see far ahead. I watch all the games later when i have time. I do enjoy the games they play serious for a win.

Best,
Gerold.

I am heading to London to run the VIP commentary room at The London Chess Classic soon. I get to combine Hiarcs with GMs Hodgson, Speelman, Nunn, Short, King etc...

One thing to me is clear that when watching/listening to these commentators you learn a lot more when you switch your engine off and just listen to these guys. Sure they can not beat the current engines but they can all beat you. They can teach you in a few hours what you will never learn from your engines.

More of the same in game 12, quick safe game. What a bummer these games have been. Not world class chess to me.

Right - even if they suggest the same moves as the engines, but the engines won't tell you why.

You mean Carlsen x Defenceman ? I´m really not as interested as I was in Karpov - Korchnoi. That was really fun !

I think Carlsen - Caruana would be a much more interesting match.

Well said :)

I notice that people are still interested in watching humans run the 100 metres at the Olympics and watching dragstrip cars race at much faster speeds than humans could ever run.

Do you not think there can be room for both human chess and bot chess?

Cordially,
