After long thinking I rejected the probably winning move Nb4!! because I thought I had to recapture (fe4??) after fe4:
Instead I played ef5?

Re: Chess is no draughts
I do not understand because after 1.Nb4 fxe4 the move 2.fxe4 is winning so thinking that you have to play 2.fxe4 in this line is not a reason to reject 1.Nb4

Yes computer says fe4 is winning as well. Although more complicated.Uri Blass wrote:I do not understand because after 1.Nb4 fxe4 the move 2.fxe4 is winning so thinking that you have to play 2.fxe4 in this line is not a reason to reject 1.Nb4
During the game I did not see that.

Actually not complicated at all. Future passed pawn on h4 is winning.Henk wrote:Yes computer says fe4 is winning as well.
