I thought Lichess did not allow that.

Exactly, it's forbidden to use an engine to play rated games.

If the computer name is labeled, the right of first refusal would be the players and that could be automated. So what's their major malfunction?

H.G. the point is that this ground is supportive and I have known it FOR YEARS. The lichess site may be less supportive, more autocratic and dictatorial, and arbitrary. There is a big difference.

The main difference seems to be that they decide what happens on their own site, while everyone here, no matter how supportive, can just throw his hands in the air... It is a bit like discussing with my greengrocer how North Korea should disarm. I am pretty sure that would be a much more pleasant experience than confronting Kim Yung Un!
