Samsung Dex is interesting though.

You must be doing something wrong : I'm at 3251 after 1mn10. Agreed, this is not a big jump, but this is still the best of the crop.
Tested on my Galaxy S8+ Exynos.

2', it begins to heat up while benchmarking and reduces NPS. Mine also started with nps like yours.

There is no real progress with speed.
There is no real progress with camera.
Sound is as weak as before.
And display is horrible with this 18:9 stupidity.

The only good thing is that g6 is even worse.

The whole mobile is pure marketing lies.

They make a hype on base of nothing.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.

Using the Samsung s8 together with the Samsung dex dock you can connect the Samsung with any tv screen or pc screen. That allows to bring the chess programs on BIG screens.

Is there any chance droidfish or chess by aart bik uses the full screen Modus on this device ?

My S8+ arrives next week.

Dex arrives one week after that due to store listing error.

The NPS Result of my s8 was on the level of the s7.
I wonder if there is a chess program app for android that runs in full screen on the dex station,
