Hi there,
John Stanback (USA) sent me for minutes Wasp 2.00 (USA too). OK, should be logical ...
John wrote me:
Wasp 2.00 can now use multiple threads using "lazy SMP" search. My testing shows that Wasp 2.00 on a single thread is about 50 Elo better than Wasp 1.25. At very fast time controls, using 4 threads gains about 130 Elo.
Information & download on Wasp detail page available.

Have fun & thanks John!

Re: Wasp 2.00 by John Stanback ... with Lazy SMP!
Hi John,
after you wrote me start of the year that you are working on SMP I am waiting of it. Now I can start the opening analysis with full Wasp power and can start after I have what I need the opening book development for Wasp.
I have to say thanks!
I like the style of your engine all the years. If I am playing vs. Zarkov / Wasp I am thinking often I am playing chess vs. a human. You created indeed a very nice chess program.
Tomorrow in the morning I will updates my FCP engine directory .... so I can start a long-time test-run on my site ... but on one i7 system only.
Best and thanks again!
Frank
Nice to see that Wasp have many fans. A lot of downloads on my site. OK, should be clear ... again ... you created really an interersting chess program.

This new Wasp is stronger, but seemingly MORE human-like from my tests.
So positional, almost like he's from the old Soviet school.

Re: Wasp 2.00 vs. 20 engines x 400 games per match!
Hi John,
with FCP Rating List conditions vs. 20 engines x 400 games = 4.000 games (need with one i7 4.3 GHz system around 60 days).
I select most danger engines as opponents (from Wasp view, not the strongest like Komodo and Co).
Newer versions of current still under development engines I like a lot with the older Hiarcs, Junior, Spark! Strongest are Chiron / Booot / Texel.
Elo I set ...
It is a combination of results from CEGT, CCRL and my older FCP Rating List ... in 25 Elo steps.
So you have a bit for looking in the next 60 days.
Can be found on my start page ... in front of my page ... Special test-run for John Stanback. Should be hard fights for your engine vs. this group of 20 completly different playing styles.
Best
Frank
For the others ... I started not a new rating system. Such test-runs are for Wasp in the future available only on my site. I am building with " International Opening Keys by Sergiu Samerian in combination with v02 from my current opening book project an *.bkt opening book. Priorities set in January / February 2017 for the Samarian main files. v2 after I reject lines with Komodo / Stockfish / Houdini / Shredder analysis. Is only a not ready prototyp of my *.bkt book. The Samarian *.bkt Basic file (by hand I edit the complete book and set the priorities) is included in my opening book project files. 26146 - 1199 lines without move transpositions I imported to the samerian files. This is the current result of my book development.
