Chess tournaments usually cost a lot of money they told me. Or is an online tournament comparable to bitcoin (less costs)
Organizing the tournament costs me 3.83 Euro for the monthly rent of the VPS. To have the winboard.nl domain costs me another 62 cents/month, but it would not be really necessary for the tourney; it would be possible to connect by IP number as well.
To participate with my own engines costs some electricity, of course. I never measured the power consumption of my PC. 350W, perhaps? Times the 3 hour of the tourney that would make ~1kWh. How much does that cost, nowadays? 30 cent?

You forget salary costs. Don't know how much tournament managers earn. Fee for carrying responsibility.

Ok so Hg , if we are 40 participants , we must pay 4.45 euros / 40 = 11,125 cents.
Can we use PayPal to pay that ?

A tournament manager earns say 500 euro per hour. Don't know how much time he spends on this tournament. Also time should be counted for answering questions.
Maybe donate to the communist computer chess party.
Funny to see that NightmareA running on 30 times slower hardware got about the same score as his big brother, it beats me how this can happen. I guess the performance is largely determined by a: luck, b: the opening-book, and c: the evaluation function, tactics seem to be of less importance.
The version of Nightmare I used is the same as the one I used at TCEC-7 in 2014, besides a few small changes I haven't been doing much about it since.
