Houdini 6 CCRL - FRC Ratings List Updated

Excellent performance from Houdini 6. On the overall list it is +56 Elo over Houdini 5, and on the pure list it replaced Houdini 5 with a +58 Elo higher rating.

The above are our usual bayselo ratings. I ran the database through Ordo at default settings, and the gain using that tool is +69 ELo over Houdini 5. Very close to what IPON has just announced.

Houdini 6 is number 1 now and well clear of Stockfish 8. However I am now proceeding to run the latest Stockfish development version.

If you can't see Houdini 6 - one of the really annoying things with the current web hosting it usually takes a few minutes for all the pages to synch up and show the current pages.

Well, in a direct match H6 and SFDev are neck and neck, SF with a slight edge at the moment. So for the ratings calc it will all depend on how SF performs against the other opponents compared to how H6 performed.

I use the Ultimaiq builds. The one I used was listed on the website as 17 Sep 2017 but when I run the exe it identifies itself as 18 Sep.

Houdini turned its small deficit around in the last 100 or so games. So, too close to call head to head, it will be the other opponents that will determine the ratings list outcome.

Stockfish 180917 now added.

It jumped +42 Elo on the pure list compared to Stockfish 8's previous rating there, although only +29 in the complete database.

Anyway, not quite enough to unseat Houdini 6, which remains in number 1 spot.
