One more issue : with SF, the score is from the player point of view and not from the white point of view. Is it possible to change that ?

Thanks,
Vincent

You can run WinBoard once with the additional option

-absoluteAnalysisScores true

to always print scores from white POV in analyze mode.

styx wrote:I figured out, there might still be a small bug with the UCI2WB Adapter:

When you load any engine (that uses UCI2WB) from the quick load menu (last four used engines), you still cannot make any changes "persistent" in the setting because it says "saving failed: engine not from list".
This is an XBoard problem; UCI2WB is not involved in the Make Persistent handling. (Which should also work for engines that use no adapter at all.)

Anyway, thanks for reporting it.

It should be fixed now. (In the hgm.nubati.net XBoard repository. I did not update the WinBoard-AA package yet.) I did not test it, but it seemed due from a straightforward omission to remember the engine line of the loaded engine as the first currentEngine when the recent-engines menu was used. Now it sets currentEngine there, as it already did after using the Load Engine dialogs, the -fe or -se commad-line options or the WinBoard Startup-Dialog comboboxes.

It displays an error message when changing first engine

Post by Ferdy »

Run winboard 4.9.170105 load Lima as first engine. Then change the first engine to shokidoki under Engine->Load First Egine and an error message will appear.

Not a winboard bug, If the engine doesn't support the loaded variant, it does that. Shokidoki is a shogi engine.

No, Shokidoki also plays mini-, Junkins', Tori and Euro-Shogi. I will look into it.

Add draw score range

Post by Ferdy »

Feature request, add draw score range in the draw adjudication.
Perhaps after 6 successive moves by each side without capture or pawn move. If there is capture or pawn move reset the succsessive move counter to zero.
Thank you.
