Well I did not get to go to bed yet.
It appears that the file system for learning is flakey under windows 10. It was seeming to work but then it would play one move then resign in a perfectly playable position. So I thought that maybe the file system could not handle such a fast time limit even though there is a solid state drive on this computer so I tried a slower time limit and it did the same thing.
Luckily my old Q6600 is still set up and working so I started a match on it at 10 seconds with a 1 second increment. There is only Stockfish 6 loaded on that computer however that makes little difference where RomiChess is concerned. And I downsized the test to only 1 position.

I guess that is better anyway as it is just a demonstration. And after 30 games the learning is working and Romi is not resigning after 1 move. So I guess it is safe to get some sleep now.

Romi's first win so far at game 137. An impossible feat for Romi without learning. Only a few moves were played from book learning as the first few book moves are constantly changing. This win is due to reinforcement learning with a little luck I suppose and is not pretty.
