Internet Archive MS-DOS games in the browser

Post by James Constance »

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but for those that don't know, it's possible to play some MS-DOS games in your browser, including some chess classics:

Interesting that Fritz 16's latest feature is similar to Chess System Tal's inner eye! :)

Thanks for this link!

Just saw a classic primer for Chess Programming published on BYTE magazine
1978 issue, Vol. 3 Number 10

https://archive.org/stream/byte-magazin ... 7/mode/2up

Great resource for millennials, the ads on that magazine are funny, a huge wooden drawer being called a computer. 8-bits cpu, and ads are proud of that.

Now! A computer course and a computer kit featureing 8K RAM all for one unbeatable price! A powerful personal computer system!

Nice stuff, bragging his 8KB RAM while I am sad because I have only 8GB of RAM on my current laptop.

On my slower i7 laptop it is doing 172 NPS.

Seems the emulation via the browser is very slow.
