Yorkman's Live Engine Chess Tournament is now broadcasting

Post by yorkman »

Since it wasn't too hard to figure this out and set it up I've decided to run a short TEST tournament (preview) of how it will look when the real tournament starts on Dec. 24th, 2017 (at longer time controls). This TEST will only run for most of Sun. Dec. 9th, 2017 (today).

Click http://chess.my2dollars.ca to view Yorkman's Live Chess Engine Tournament (YLCET). There's also a chat room if you install and run Tom's Live Chess Viewer. Any questions or feedback is welcome.

Participating engines:

asmFish
Houdini 6.02
Komodo 11.2.2
Sugar
cFish
and more

Thanks, I'm looking forward to this. Since you are planning to use a development version of texel, 1.08a2, would you please consider using the latest development version 1.08a5 instead? New in that version is improved time management, which was worth +12 elo in self play, although probably less at longer time time controls.

It is available from the usual place:

Thanks for running the tourney. What is your time controls, its confusing from your page.

For a 35 core engine tournament 15’+3 is not doing justice :), i guess 60 min shud be good

I don't know why the 90mins+30secs tournament was interrupted after maybe more than 500 hours.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Sorry but I got frustrated with the lack of viewers since I wasn't playing it for myself.
