This is called Alekhine's gun but I always thought it was Alekhine's Hammer?
This is taken from Alekhine vs. Nimzowitsch (1930)

I personally like Alekhine's hammer because it reminds me of Thor's Mjolnir

The name reminded me of the glider gun from the game of life:

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Maybe Alekhine is a bit underrated. I think he is on same level as Capablanca, Kasparov, Fisher.
Winning from Capablanca in 1927 while Capablanca was 39 years old.
Maybe losing from Euwe, his alcohol addiction and his Nazi collaboration did not do him much good.
Here he plays against Nimzowich while Nimzowich was on his best in these years.

Underrated? I think he is one of the "giants" in all of chess history for sure. There is one big flaw in his character is that when he beat Capablanca and when Capablanca kept coming after him for a rematch he never got one. He subsequently played his cousin Bogoljubov twice for the WC and won easily. After this he plays Euwe and loses his title and then plays him again and gets it back.Henk wrote:Maybe Alekhine is a bit underrated. I think he is on same level as Capablanca, Kasparov, Fisher.
