Thanks Daniel!
Do you have plans to implement UCI's Exclude Moves feature in Andscacs? I have to stop using Andscacs for analysis in positions where I have refuted its principal variations and it would be too costly to revisit them with a higher MultiPV, plus, it's just faster to analyze with single PV, and only use Exclude Moves to ask Andscacs for a second choice when the move is refuted, instead of having to use MutiPV everywhere to know other preferred moves of it in advance.

I see that Stockfish nor Komodo have it. Do you know an engine that has it, to use the same way of working?Ovyron wrote:Do you have plans to implement UCI's Exclude Moves feature in Andscacs?.

Stockfish, Komodo, Houdini, Shredder and Fire all have this feature.cdani wrote:I see that Stockfish nor Komodo have it. Do you know an engine that has it, to use the same way of working?
My bad, it's called "go searchmoves", I was confused because the way Shredder GUI does it, one usually "Shift+moves" the move one wants to exclude, in Infinite Analysis, to have the engine look at everything, except this, but what the GUI does is telling the engine to "searchmoves" the rest of the moves.
The Chessbase GUI has this implemented as "Next Best", which is less powerful as you have to wait for the engine to be analyzing the move you want to exclude before being able to ignore it, but it uses the same engine command.

When I have refuted its principal veriations... with the help of other engines and some ideas of my own, is that right?leavenfish wrote:Ovyron wrote:Thanks Daniel!

Sorry for Andscacs-0.93 the source code is closed, otherwise I would port it to android. Version 0.921 showed itself very well, taking the third place in the rating of the strongest engines for android (after stockfish and komodo).
Nevertheless, thanks for the good work and good luck in TCEC-11!
