The only info I could find is the post on the CCRL forum and this:

koedem wrote:Hello,
I am the author of koedem. (and to my surprise I actually already made a talkchess account a year ago and now was wondering why I couldn't register as koedem :D )
If it's requested I can post the source code. Though this program is me learning programming so the code isn't that readable or well written... (but to make sure it's not malware, why not)
It wasn't really meant as public release (as it's not useful to anyone in the current stage) but on the other hand I have no problem with it being out there.
Well, it's not necessary to show your code and it is completely up to you.
I am not in the position to ask for it anyway.

We just had too much clones/illegal derivates and stupid anonymous one line changers of already available programs.
It was a bit unlucky to request a test with no real authors name in the beginning. (how often we had seen this...)
Anyhow that's all resolved and I wish you good luck with Koedem and your chessclub Oetigheim.

The chronology is basically a private project for the benefit of the computer chess community and was already started at July 2002,
because there was no complete overview available, except of course Leo Dijksmans great 'engine news'.
At the end of 2010 I stopped updating it due to the clone wars after Fruit, Rybka and Ippolit.
In June 2016 I restarted it with the help of much improved google tables and with new rules what to include and what not.

There is also the wonderful CCW (computerchesswiki - not to be confused with the CPW), which was started by Ron Murawski (now more or less Norbert),
which also gives an overview but in a different form and was started much later. It includes a lot more topics about chess programs etc.
The rules for being listed there are a bit more 'relaxed' but after some 'incidents' I guess it tends to be more cautious too and we are in good contact.
koedem wrote: What's this RWBC thing about? Seems to be some kind of ongoing engine tournament? Would of course be interesting to watch my engine play in some "official" tournament. ;)
The RWBC classes and tournaments were run until 2009.
There are currently no plans to revive them, sorry.
Of course there are other sites who will include your program for testing!

The next Ködem championship is on Feb 03 btw, feel free to participate. ;)
You seem to be working on DGT boards? Do you think you could get DGT boards to transmit Ködem games? (if DGT boards can recognize dropped pieces which the probably need to for promotions, then that should also be possible, right?)

EDIT: Umlaute seem to break thread titles?!

Guenther wrote:Additional info on the latest tomitankChess js fix:

There is a small typo/paste error in the js source, which prevents it
from showing its name plus version in GUIs.

Code: Select all

sendMessage('board id name tomitankChess v.'+VERSION);
just remove 'board ' so that the string starts with 'id... and it can be read by whatever uci module.
Thanks Your Help!

I fixed this bug on github and in the new version.

It's here http://skiull.blogspot.com.ar/

But it looks like version 0.4 was deleted, wonder if the author discovered a bug or something. I managed to download it a couple of days ago.
