Engines finishing in the bottom 2 positions will be relegated to the Super League for Season 3.
This season the fight for the last 2 places will be ferocious, all the engines are really close in strenght. On the other end of the spectrum, can Fire 6.1 or Shredder 13 beat Komodo 9.02 and play the Superfinal vs Houdini and Stockfish? We'll see, last season it didn't happen, even if CCRL says they should be stronger.
Nirvana and Critter make their debut in the Elite League, Nirvana missed the promotion from the Super League by a hair last season and got it comfortably this time around, while Critter is the 1st and only engine so far to start in the Entry League and promote all the way up to the Elite League in just 1 season. Won't be easy to stay though, the strenght of the Elite League is on average around 170 elo stronger than the Super League.
I'll be broadcasting the whole tournament at my twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/ccls as usual and making regular updates here in the forums.
