Re: New engine releases 2019

Hello Everyone, Graham found a few bugs in Igel 1.5.1 and I had to re-upload the package 1.5.1 that fixes them. The bugs were happening on the old cpus that do not have popcnt instruction and when testing the smp version of Igel. Since most of the people don't have old cpus and most of the people do...

Please use 1.5.1 in your tests, as there is a significant elo difference between 1.4.2 and 1.5.1 ;)

Re: Moving instantly based on the transposition table.

I've run ~ 1000 CCRL 40/4 games and I don't see any significant improvement in Igel: Score of Igel 1.6.0 64 POPCNT vs Igel 1.5.1 64 POPCNT: 207 - 195 - 423 [0.507] 825 Elo difference: 5.05 +/- 16.54 I think the elo gain will wear off if I do more games (5-10k), so I am not sure it is helping at leas...

Re: The Hedgehog And Jellyfish 4CPU

Graham is a great tester finding bugs here and there. You should consider changing into software engineering and QA domain in fact :-)

Re: Rodent needs a test

Hello Pawel,

I can run Rodent on 128 Gb of hash and on 21 CPU if needed. I don't know if Rodent supports this configuration. Igel does ;)

Re: Elements of the ULTIMATE Chess GUI?

Hello everyone, WinBoard/XBoard support time odds as well, of course. Just not different TC modes. Not because it would be difficult to program, but because it seems completely useless, or even worth discouraging. It's interesting to test with different TCs. Even if it has no real use. Just differen...
