Hi,

What is LMP and how does it work/is it implemented?
LMP, late move pruning not reduction.
I see mentions of it here and there but it is not described on the wiki.

Which Fathom are you using? Is it https://github.com/jdart1/Fathom? If the command-line tool works on your position, then you have to be passing something different into the API for it to not work for you. You do have to call tb_init first. Ok released Micah 0.8: fix for a buf where setting a hashtable size via uci would effectively disable it. This version is > 100 elo stronger than 0.7.
