Re: Komodo 13.2

There is the same behavior later in a game, also in the late middle game. Komodo with the human personality seems to be very optimistic for the side ho has to play. This is what happens with Contempt. For Komodo's analysis, it is recommended that you create one instance or White, and one instance f...

Re: Komodo 13.2

Thanks for the explanation Mark. That still doesn't help me if I want to use Komodo 13.2 with the human personality from with in Chess Position Trainer. I think I will let the contempt setting to it's default settings. I find it remarkable that if I run infinite analysis with Komodo 13.2 human perso...

Komodo 13.2

In the newest update of Komodo engine it is possible to set a personality to human and to chose for white contempt on or of. I like this new option. In chessbase 15 when I choose to add a kibitzer, I can go to advanced, and than Engine parameters where I can set these options. I can also save these ...

polyglot book merging

Can somebody help me with this. The manual about book merging with polyglot says this. Imagine that we've got 4 PGN files as follows: w1.pgn: fixed white lines, all moves manually checked w2.pgn: selected games (for random book as with PolyGlot 1.3) b1.pgn and b2.pgn: same for black The first step i...

Re: Exchanging repertoires, and best ways to create repertoires for over the board games

Thanks for the tip. I have Chess Openings Wizard so I will try to follow the steps. Once this is done, all you need to do is comparing what is your biggest ECO chunk (representing your repertoire) with the chunks of the other players (say, B97 is the file with most positions, you sort the players by...

Re: Exchanging repertoires, and best ways to create repertoires for over the board games

I'm looking for a way to to determine which grangmaster games fit's most my style to base my repertoire on. I have made a repertoire based on the games of Magnus Carlsen. It is tempting because he is the world champion. But maybe there are other top GM's hose playing style fit's more my own playing ...

Exchanging repertoires, and best ways to create repertoires for over the board games

Has someone ideas how I can split a big repertoire file to small parts, (maybe max 40 games for one part). And give logical names? I do it this way. I open the big repertoire file with Hiarcs Chess Explorer, I go to players. Then I can see what openings are played. I export the games and create new ...

Re: How to cut these pgn games.

Can you please share this script with me, and tell me how to use it.
The tactical analysis from chessbase takes to much time for large pgn databases.

Re: How to cut these pgn games.

I still don't know how you put the annotation with the opening name in the games as annotation with pgn extract. I know how to but the eco code and openings name as tag in the games but I don't know how to put it as annotation in the games. What comment to u use for that? What do I have to type from...
