Re: Lc0 GPU load

Case fans work well. I run around 63c. You are still running 10c hotter with your case opened. I can put the engines on ponder play and I max out at 69c. But you could have a issue in general with your case design. And the best solution would be to run open. I have a cooler master cosmos II case wh...

7 men syzygy tablebase DTZ files on HDD ?

Hi All,

It was a well know fact for 6 men syzygy tablebase that only WDL files needed to be on SSD & DTZ files could be on an HDD.

Is it still valid for 7 men syzygy DTZ (*.rtbz) files ? Could we keep them on HDD ?

I have a script, which creates nice column style traditional pgn output from the TCEC format.
The file is attached. Note that I was too lazy to work around the unusual 'timeleft', thus only score/depth is included.
Can you please share the script ? It looks great. The pgn is so easily readable.

Re: Lc0 GPU load

I have had the best cooling when I have had the case open & a small table fan blowing air towards the case. The temperature has come down from around 84'C to 74'C. Although extra fans will help , I suspect it won't be as effective. It might bring down the temperature by a couple of degrees. Hosting ...

Re: Lc0 GPU load

Thanks for all your replies. If I try to host the GPU out of the box using a raiser card adopter something like shown below, will it affect the performance? The idea is to give the gpu more cooler air to breath & to cool down. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71Xi9S6xQKL._SL1000_.jpg

Maybe thermal issues and GPU is throttling?
You are right. I left the case open for better air circulation & I unsinstalled MSI Afterburner.
I had better results.

Lc0 GPU load

Hi, I have been using Lc0 for a week now. The GPU load keeps going up & down.
You can see in the graph below,

It doesn't stay at 100% like the CPUs when playing Stockfish.

Is this normal ?

Re: Trying out the Leela Hybrid engine (NN with AB)

Thank you very much. I will test it.

Have you thought about using Auxiliary engine 100% for the end game or after a certain number of moves (configurable) ?

Re: Trying out the Leela Hybrid engine (NN with AB)

I have been testing this. The end game is very poor. Lc0 also suffers in the end game. Would it be possible for the auxillary engine (SF) to play the end game completely ? We know that SF uses tablebase effectively & pretty strong in end game. Let is say after 50 moves, The auxillary engine plays 10...
