Re: Forward Chess Application

Does anyone have experience with this app?

I assume you do get to download the book to your device, although it can only be read on their program. Is that correct?

As a bonus, it's presented by a pretty girl!
I won't try to predict whether Kelsey Houston-Edwards would be happy about your comment.

Re: Ethereal 12 (3400) loses to God! (Most Amazing Game I've Seen)

Brendan sees the wood, lots of the others only see the trees. Brendan is simply thinking at a way higher level and knows what is to be learnt and understood from this game is not to be found by atomising it into separate moves. He refuses to see the details that disprove his sweeping claims. That's...

Re: Ethereal 12 (3400) loses to God! (Most Amazing Game I've Seen)

All of that has been already addressed by BrendanJNorman, I am afraid I can not add anything substantially more relevant to it. Just re-read his posts with an opened mind. He didn't say anything. He just attacked those who pointed out blunders. In all his posts, there has been zero discussion of an...

Re: Ethereal 12 (3400) loses to God! (Most Amazing Game I've Seen)

I can't believe the amount of negativity and pointless remarks you had to face just by sharing this game  What do you regard as negativity and pointless remarks? Pointing out the fact of the game's blunders? How is that negativity? That's just fact. Do you think the actual moves and their eva...

I do not see what is so special about f4. It is not a deciding move. Apart from not being deciding is is also the first move I would try in my local pub, or even blindfold.
Apart from that, all the evidence is that it's not even the best move by any rational definition of best.

2 GM wins, 4 draws. In this range, I guess. In other metric, something like 80-90% range that this young active GM won't lose the match.
Young and active compared with 70-year-olds, but Smerdon isn't active compared with a professional.

Re: New computer chess forum

It's odd that the forum had a system that allows you to add people to a list and then not have to see their posts anymore, he filled it up and that wasn't enough. Let's hope one month from now Guenther's forum doesn't look like a ghost town, unless that makes a more tolerant Guenther come back here...

Re: New computer chess forum

I guess it's an attitude thing. Guenther has been adding people to his "foes" list for a very long time, so he must have a different way to see things. He has 100 people on his foes list but has the attitude that it's the 100 people who are wrong, not the 1 person who can't tolerate different opini...
