Re: MinimalChess 0.2 released
Ctrl-C just quits the program without a crash on Windows. But the Callstack you provided should allow me to fix it in the next version. I might write you a PM then to ask you to confirm that fix! :) IIRC EOF is not Ctrl+C on windows, but Ctrl+ Z , if using simple pipe does not reproduce behaviour. ...

Re: Delimiter development diary
Hey Roman, if you get around to adding some compilation instructions, or better yet, Makefile that makes use of D compiler that is available from Debian / Ubuntu repositories, I might fire Delimiter up some time.

Re: MinimalChess 0.2 released
... I used debug build of MCE because I had not yet figured out how to do release builds, but now I have and at the end of next week I will involve release build of MCE in some further testing to see whether numbers seem to match -- note that the time control that I used was 10s+0 (10 seconds per g...

d) Calling Stockfish (or Leela) something else **-engine just for marketing & profit reasons, may be legal, but certainly not very honorable or respectable, to consumers and the chess community in large. Most chessplayers are no idiots and feels very strongly when they feel some company or persons ...

Re: Arena autodetection for CECP/XBoard
I have reluctantly tried out Linux Arena 3.10beta under separate user account on one of my Linux machines -- and answer to my original question: ... anyone have idea how Arena does the CECP engine autodetection ... is that Arena (3.10beta for Linux, at least) sends the following bunch of commands at...

Re: MinimalChess 0.2 released
The tournament didn't conclude sadly. The termination reason was given as "stalled connection" and MMC got the win so I guess it was Monchester that stalled. I still have everything open if you want me to send you additional info let me know! Perhaps you could create an issue at https://github.com/...

Re: Calling All Armchair GPL Lawyers
I am by now truthfully confused about whether the FF2, which inspired this discussion thread, came with net in separate file or not. In any case, my previous comments in this thread about distributing nets with GPL licensed engine (aggregate packaging) without needing to license net under GPL were a...

Re: Plea for a computerchess beginners forum or FAQ
Hey Guenther! FAQ with good practices distilled and gotchas noted sounds like a fantastic idea, if there are experienced people willing to work on it. Is the forum flexible enough for FAQ though (post editing limited)? Maybe chessprogramming.org Wiki could have a place where more detailed and more p...

2) This is also pretty clear, how the parts are packaged doesn't matter.: "You must license the entire work, as a whole, under this License to anyone who comes into possession of a copy. This License will therefore apply, along with any applicable Section 7 additional terms, to the whole of the wor...
