Re: Opening Variety is dead
It's been quite a while since I had computers playing, but I do recall the learning functions of the CB-books. And they react the same on internally played games as well as those played on Playchess. Set to a maximum, the engine is guided into tight play with little variance, but huge depth. It's a ...

Re: "Fat fritz" stronger than Stockfish ?

Why are you posting false information, there is no claim by Albert that his Fat Fritz is stronger than Stockfish. Two, that is not Albert's style, he has more class than that....

It's obviously a problem for several strong engines, but then again it points to the many holes in the Dutch defence.

Re: Booot 6.3 Release
Dropbox no longer allows direct downloads and their signup/login system is broken: "unable to complete this request" upon login. Using the Google account option leads to about 20 pages of CAPTCHAs. At any rate, there shouldn't be an account requirement to download a file that's supposed to be freel...

Re: Colossal Blunder by Houdini 6.03

When you can/will find the room, that 150Gb is well worth it, Gunther. With a "high" endgame hash setting the speeed is _not...

Re: Chess Assistant, Stockfish, and multithreading
Frankly I haven't found any changes in the last 4-5 releases of CA - even the bugs appear to be the same. So, yes the perrsonalities is the same, and the sliders is sometimes quite annoying. Development for Chess Assistant has been frozen for quite some time, and they openly state this. Aquarium is...
