Re: Python chess engine
Bro, you need to publish a requirements.txt in the distribution so that virtualenv can have it sandboxed and pip can install ALL the requirements which are VOLUMINOUS for your program.
Do the above and it will go a LONG WAY for you.

Re: Ubuntu 18 vs Centos
I love Ubuntu. My favorite distro. Used it heavily in production environments and never wanted for speed, patches, etc.

Re: Amazon EC2 cloud
I've run Leela on EC2 successfully on both Windows and Ubuntu. Never a problem. On a more parallel front, I concocted a framework which breaks down any computable problem across AWS Spots and it was fine for fairly complex things speeding them up massively. Mostly these days Lambda on AWS is recomme...

Re: Test position for weak (~2500) engines
Loaded this into Leela and it found it in 1/2 second.
I don't have a GPU and it was running on just one core.
My own program could not find it.

Re: Banksia GUI released
Changing from Dark Theme to Light Theme revealed the labels in settings. Thanks. Hopefully Banksia GUI will support Dark theme a well as it is best not to look at bright screens and do closeup work for many decades. They contribute to increased intraocular eye pressure which leads to glaucoma. Hence...

Banksia v0.35
0.35 is up here on Catalina 10.15.6 (latest patch). The books are in and it plays randomly, so that is all great. My concern though is the Settings/Graphics, for example. See attached photo. If I could see the labels, I could select from the piece types, piece colors, square colors, and board backgr...

Re: Banksia GUI and randomized book openings for Leela
My Banksia (0.10 alpha) does not have seed capability under preference. I run on Apple MacOS Catalina. If an upgrade is required please advise (send doc). Also, I do not see any place for gmbook nor where to get it nor what it is. Thanks for answering these questions. I've been playing the same move...
