Re: Apple Silicon M1 for chess - Hardware and software issues and workarounds

My Apple M1 Mini (from CostCo) is my backup to my Apple MacBook Pro 2017 non-M1. I bought the former just because of the low cost and already having a screen, keyboard and mouse. I play Leela exclusively on the latter though I would enjoy getting her up on the former. Anyone have Leela+BanksiaGUI up...

Re: Leela for iPhone

I guess there is a massive communication problem here.

I simply want LEELA on the iPhone.

I don't care what visual/gui/UI/UX interface it has.

Re: Leela for iPhone

No. It isn't.

What I want is LEELA on the iPhone.

The chess engine.

I wasn't referring to the FRONT END.

I was referring to the BACK END.

Anyone know if Leela has been ported to the iPhone?

Stockfish is becoming tiresome.

leela

I installed lczero.org on my new Apple M1 (Silicon) with Banksia and it's fine.

Hoping the Banksia/lc0(Leela) combo can eventually make it to the iPhone.

That would be nice.

I have less interest in stockfish and other programs.

Re: Reinforcement learning project

Some years ago I read about Andrew Tridgell's work KnightCap and was intrigued. Recall it was a learning program doing coefficient manipulation of the evaluation function in play against similarly-rated others, from tabla rasa, on the internet chess server. It learned quickly. So I studied Sutton's ...

Re: Python chess engine

Bro, you need to publish a requirements.txt in the distribution so that virtualenv can have it sandboxed and pip can install ALL the requirements which are VOLUMINOUS for your program.

Do the above and it will go a LONG WAY for you.

Re: Ubuntu 18 vs Centos

I love Ubuntu. My favorite distro. Used it heavily in production environments and never wanted for speed, patches, etc.
