Re: Unbalanced Human Openings V2.00 released

Whats new in V2.0? All 400000 endpositions were re-evaluated by KomodoDragon 1.0 (instead of Komodo 14 in UHO V1.0), because KomodoDragon 1.0 is around +200 Elo (!) stronger than Komodo 14. In the testing-results you can see, that the results of the testings are somewhat better with UHO V2.0, compa...

Re: +100 elo breakthrough in new rewritten Lco engine ( Ceres)

How does that compare with Lc0 v26? I did a quick bench on my 3080 of CERES and LC0-26.3-cuda. Default settings for CERES, defaults and NNcache=10M, smart-pruning-factor=0 for Lc0. The measured "speedup" (if we can say so, we are comparing nps from two different engines): 30x384 = 15%, 20x256 = 28%...

Re: ZZ-tune conclusively better than the Kiudee default for Lc0

I finally let it run to 700 games. It was a perfect tie in the last 650 games. The surprisingly strong start for zz-tune couldn't be maintained, and the results are now inconclusive (though zz-tune doesn't appear weaker). 100s + 1s, GTX 1660 Ti, Balsa_v500.pgn # PLAYER : RATING ERROR PLAYED (%) CFS...

ZZ-tune conclusively better than the Kiudee default for Lc0

I saw in the Lc0 discord the ZZ-tune for Lc0 obtained using the chess-tuning-tools software. The tuned parameters are: Kiudee ZZ-tune default CPuct 1.350 2.147 FpuValue 0.228 0.443 PolicyTemperature 1.497 1.607 CPuctFactor 3.468 2.147 CPuctBase 20253 18368 It is hoped that this tune improves upon th...

... I will no longer talk generally about ... Sorry, this wasn´t meant as picking at you b/c of some old statements. Not at all. I found it just interesting that after a pretty short period of time the deveopment in strength was - maybe - faster than anticipated. And that the number of lost games b...

Re: Question for Ed Shroder

Since Rebel played several matches with strong GMs at standard time controls around the turn of the century, performing a bit below 2700 I would estimate if we rate them all together, my question is this: What FIDE rating would you expect "Benjamin" to earn in similar matches now, running on a typi...
