Re: New chess pieces pics for Rybka 3 Aquarium! click here..
Making ttf fonts isn't something done in five minutes. After you have imported or drawed your charachters you have to add hinting to it. You can try FontForge if you really want to try. You find it here: http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/ . Best is if you have access to a linux machine, then it's eve...

Re: relot for GradualTest
Where did you find GradualTest v 2.6? The version on Odd Gunnar Malin's site is 2.4 (and the source is v2.0) Hi, you find my utilities at http://utilities.sjakk.biz/ now. I added a message on the online.no site. The latest GradualTest are version 2.7, the readme text is wrong, but if you run the ut...

Re: Wanted: evolving Auto Tester for UCI
Maybe I missunderstand, but this seems really simple. I don't know Arena but with Shredder (Classic) or ChessPartner this is done in a few minutes. Just create a program that write .eng file for Shredder or .cpevar files for ChesPartner. If this is too much trouble, just create the files manualy, sh...

Re: Rating formula to convert BCF - USCF -FIDE
Is BCF an 'Elo format'? One thing that disturb any formula for making a list is that different nations use different rating floor, so trying to calculate this for lower rating is difficult (impossible). Ex. Fide's floor is now 1400 I think, just a few years ago it was 2200. I think it will take some...

Re: Question about UCI and Winboard
If only it were that simple. The problem is that paths, directorys and other variables will vary from system to system. So editing would still be required. 8-) A user of a common set of Wb2Uci.exe/eng do not need to set any path or even variable for Wb2Uci. He just dump the adapter into the engine ...

Re: Handicapping FRITZ 10
Does this really matter? You can't use it to anything outside your home. Let say it was accurate, you could still not use it because the games aren't played in controlled enviroment. What it is, is a motivating factor for you to climb the scale. Eg. if your Fritz rating are 2000 you would know that ...

Re: Seeking PGN/EPG/games database manipulation tools
You could look at the CQL ( http://www.rbnn.com/cql/ ).
There is a tool on the site to do advanced search in pgn databases. Also Chess Assistant have CQL built in.
