It was years ago, but i do remember folks playing a tournament with different opening books. Does anybody recall what the results where? how much difference does book make?

Hi sune I agree bd6 is bad. It allows white to trade with knight, Dominate dark squares with bishop, and keep King in center. I also think blacks light squared Bishop is badly out of play. I think perhaps you mean it is easy to beat a chess engine with another chess engine? I really don't think any human can beat any of the top 50 chess engines, on modern equipment, and over, say, a 7 game tournement. Indeed, on modern equipment, i reckon Ruffian would kick every human's arse.
