Re: Honey-XPro Release

Thanks Mike! I've been relying on McBrain/McCain in MultiPV for my correspondence chess analysis, and giving opponents hundreds of points stronger than me a run for their money on the ICCF, so great results, looks like Honey is the engine to use  I have read that Honey is partly based on S...

Re: front-end for lc0 on mac os x

Hi. I've installed the Xboard dmg disk image and it is running. What are the methods for setting it to run lc0? I set the lc0 directory and executable and played e2e4 but leela/lc0 never plays a move as black. There is some kind of setting I am missing in xboard? Stuart Paste your lc0 engine settin...

Re: Honey-XPro Release

It was a blunder alright, Honey went from a scoring percentage of 49.46% to 99.39% - a game that was nearly drawn at that point, became dead lost. See the edit above I just analysed this with Lc0 T6.532. On the GTX 1050 it took 22 seconds for it to move away from Bd3 and favour a different move. So...

Re: Honey-XPro Release

The most interesting game played was against LeelaRB, 5th game down. 36. Bd3 seems to have been a blunder by Lc0. When you analyse with Komodo, prior to that move Komodo saw 0.00. After that move, -14 Probably with more time and a better GPU, Lc0 would have chosen differently. [Event "ICS rated bli...

Honey-XPro Release

The maiden release of Honey-XPro, a UCI chess playing engine derived from McCain (MichaelB7), Stockfish, SugaR (Marco Zerbinati) and Glaurung 2.1 Honey-Xpro is named in honor of my paternal grandmother, Honey (née Sullivan) Byrne and she was, without a doubt, the sweetest person I have ever known. S...

Re: front-end for lc0 on mac os x

Can anyone point me at a URL for a Mac OS X front-end chess-board handler to put in front of lc0? xBoard - it works great. You can get a preconfigured app bundle or compile yourself. https://www.gnu.org/software/xboard/ HGM , one of our moderators, is the current author and has helped me with many ...

Re: Lc0 - macOS binary requested

Hi MikeB, great thanks!!! It seems to work, see my screen shot. Where can I see the kn/seconds? They were not displayed in the Output like under SF. They are missing in HIARCS Explorer - not sure why. I tried to change a few settings, but nothing worked. You might want to let them know. http://www....
