Any way to use Fat Fritz 2 as an UCI engine?
I'm still having trouble running it against another engine on a separate computer. I can get it to play in Easy Game mode but I'm not sure how strong that is. I'm not interested in running No Ponder games so I choose to test with two side by side computers using ponder on. I usually use Arena for bo...

Oh okay. Contempt = 0 would be better against SF dev. I guess Chessbase decided to change it 24 to beat up on weaker opponents :D My understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I merely switched back because I got asked a lot about it, and figured this would just quiet tha...

Will Dragon offer personalities? Can contempt still be used with it?

Re: Stockfish NNue [download ]
I'm curious what the graph on Sergio's download page means. It's a rating of sorts. Seems like there is a need of a thread devoted for posting user results. I am running games by hand on two separate machines. Based on ponder move my impression is that NNue acts as a totally different engine from St...

Re: TCEC superfinal openings 9-17, edited
Hi Stefan, thanks for the testsets. What exactly is the too_bad_TCEC testsuite? It's 96 positions. Are these games in which at least one game was won?

Re: Thoth, what's different
Hopefully they'll incorporate this change in Brainfish. I've read Laskos explanation of how it can be used against LC and it makes sense. I've been playing Stockfish 10 against Houdini and Komodo with a couple of testsets that reduce the draw rate and Stockfish is really impressive when pieces remai...
