Re: the digital rebirth of Deep Sjeng
Stoofvlees has quite successfully made it through the qualification stage in current CCC 9. It has progressed into the quarterfinals. It might be the end of the story for now, as it had a bad start in the quarters but moving up the ranks slowly.... but unlikely to get into the top 4. Still not so ba...

The Junior/ Hiarcs Intifada
Hi fellow chessfreaks/ authors Currently there are lot of weird things going on. One of the funniest but at the same time most sad things in this... After welcoming the latest Junior 11.1 release the enthusiastic buyers get to read the following in the EULA (if anyone cares to read em, that is): >>>...

Re: question for GCP: are you planning a new release of Sje
Indeed. Until ruled by court, the long dead peeps named above own the copyright, future income of the engine and so on :P Oh hey i want to court martial the bees and ants that invade my place during summer! They do not respect my living room! Every human being has the untouchable right of a safe pla...

Re: question for GCP: are you planning a new release of Sje
Actually right now i am ashamed to be from the same country as you. Also you wouldnt be able to handle the truth (or proof) if it was handed to you on a silver platter. You compare Graham to international warcriminals just because he speaks out loud that elo greedy morons download any engine without...

Re: Hiarcs-Ktulu, Leiden 2009
Not impressed at all. Ktulu runs on SINGLE core whilst Hiarcs had an octa machine. So no reason to be excited with that big a difference...

Re: A compromise idea for the WCCC hardware limit
**I also spend hours every day working on Hiarcs. i do not get paid for my work. However I value the fans, users and spectators. A world championship is about many things including of course the programmers Same is true for me. Spending hours testing Sjeng etcetc. I am in it for the fun. The part wh...

ICGA - Gloryride and Downfall
Mike you are like a fox... smart but not truly intelligent. Tell me: What good is a limit of 8 cores since there are only 2 or 3 peeps who can afford the very expensive skulltrail octa machines???? What good is a limit that is unreachable for the normal guys since those skulltrail octa machines cost...

Re: Regarding ICGA 2009 tournament
Seconded. However may i remind you that the only thing the so called "sport officials" (in any sports, be it track and field, swimmin etcetc) are good in is: -taking and wasting money which is not theirs -making irrational decisions often not in favour of the athletes/ competitors/ even working agai...

Re: WCCC 2009 - Limit of 8 cores
The ICGA has officially decided to degrade the WCCC to something that i can play in my living room. I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who thinks that WCCC should stay "no limits, no holds barred".
