Re: SPCC: Web-Host hit by a fire

Translation by google: Parts of the data center are currently being restored. A list of the rooms affected by the fire gives hope that the backup copies will be stored in an intact room. These sections will be put back into operation on Monday, March 15th, 2021. We can then check whether the backup...

Re: Any formula or way to figure out optimal hash size?

time per move (secs) * nodes per sec * hash entry size (in bytes) for ex: if time per move = 60 sec, nps = 700,000, and hash table entry = 16 bytes (16 bytes being somewhat typical but can vary) then: 60 secs x 700,000 nps x 16 bytes = 640 MB to make this calculation you have to determine the engine...

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

What would be the syntax for specifying the net on cutechess command? I use option.EvalDir="c:\Engines\Sfnnue\eval". Adjust the path to suit your setup. In json something like { "default" : "eval\\nn.bin", "name" : "EvalFile", "type" : "string", "value" : ".\\eval\\nn.bin" }, By the way - free plug...

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

What would be the syntax for specifying the net on cutechess command? I use option.EvalDir="c:\Engines\Sfnnue\eval". Adjust the path to suit your setup. Thanx, but: nnue doesn't have option EvalDir Edit: but it does have EvalFile. By specifying the path and the filename, it does work! I guess the p...

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

For some reason, this compile loses 100% of the games under cutechess-cli. Have you tried the nodchip binaries? Yes, they work fine, I just wanted some taste of that speed everyone's talking about. I get the same issue with nodchip compiles... and the issue is not limited to 'go depth' games

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

Hi all- I released new PO (play-only) compiles which seem to be significantly faster ...more than 10% on my system Intel® Core™ i9-9900K Processor Bench was run just once, not averaged after several runs, so these are just estimates: https://github.com/FireFather/sf-nnue/releases I hope they prove ...

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

Just to clarify any confusion in this thread... We're seeing different Elo results presented Those are of course the results of 'nnue' vs sf-dev test, and are very dependent on exactly which nn.bin is being tested In the case of Larry and Mark, this detail is not indicated This has much less to do w...

Re: New sf+nnue play-only compiles

I think this is an important change (not yet merged in nodchip)
https://github.com/nodchip/Stockfish/issues/68

I suspect training would be improved...and better nets.
