Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

Terry, Roger, Robert... At great risk to myself, I posted that (thinking "everyone" would think me quite insane). When I read Ed’s "they don't need long sentences to communicate" this 'one of my favorite TNG episodes’ came almost instantly to mind. A very nice treat to know you gents enjoyed it! Bes...

Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

What you don't get is that chess programmers (like any other group of specialists) have their own language use, they don't need long sentences to communicate, often half of a word is enough. Re: Fwd: Open letter to the CSVN

The only difference between your post, to which I am replying and a post which I started to write but abando...

Re: Fwd: Open letter to the CSVN

The statement about the engine that participated not being tested is not "FALSE". Why the hell do you want to twist the facts. Re: To the Copy and Paste Generation of Programmers

To the Copy and Paste Generation of Programmers Very well said! "+1" Thank you for that post! Obviously there are some "authors" who need to take your words to heart. Also many who need to take the time to understand the "open source" philosophy... that it does not mean some "free-for-all" (i.e. no...

Re: A Very Novel Idea Concerning Vas- BE FAIR

Is it just me... or does anyone else get the impression that the "Carol Rodanu" personality is like the Rolf personality except on "steroids"?

Maybe a better analogy is: Rolf is to Dr. Jekyll As Carol Rodanu is to Mr. Hyde.

"No Offense" to either one... just seems both strangely similar...

Thanks Steve, It comes more from The Lord screwing my head on straight in the Marine Corps. I believe if you offended in public, you make the apology in public (no matter how embarrassing or humiliating... took me a while tho).
