Re: Reinforcement Learning (RL) in real time paradigm

A similar idea has been proposed before I think: https://papers.nips.cc/paper/3722-bootstrapping-from-game-tree-search.pdf It must be over 10 years I have seen Joels name mentioned somewhere, thanks for the paper. https://www.chessprogramming.org/Bodo I didn't even know he created 'Meep', because t...

Re: Spectacular incursion of the King

75...a4! was another good move by LC0, but it seems SF played quite bad some of the next moves may be also due to time management problems? 4r3/3n4/1p1p4/p2P4/2PQ1p1k/1P2rPqP/P1B1p1P1/2K1R2R w - - 9 75 It seems that Stockfish's failure to play 75. a4 loses the game. I want to mention that Stockfish...

Re: is there a program to translate epd file to diagrams?

Not sure what I am supposed to do exactly. Do I need to copy the programs in python first to my computer? searching in my computer I see that I have python2.7.3 in my computer but I never used it and never wrote code in it. step by step instruction what to do can be productive because I do not want...

Re: is there a program to translate epd file to diagrams?

You first have to change it to valid epd. https://www.chessprogramming.org/Extended_Position_Description I only added an id to the epds with your description (I am also not very familiar with all op codes and it seems there is none for plain description, thus I added your descriptions to ids, the o...

Re: Spectacular incursion of the King

The game was played under Cutechess gui 1.1 that adds "s" after the time. I suspected that because I use cutechess and cutechess-cli too After eliminating all "s" and pasting into Arena, the times are the following After 75...a4 Stockfish has 3:16 left while Lc0 only 2:47, so I think it was not due...

Re: Spectacular incursion of the King

Thanks for the interesting game Javier! I ask myself though, what would have happened if SF wouldn't have 'lost nerves' with 62. Nxf5?! There was no visible progress from 41...Kh4! to 61...Kh4, except that Black looks good of course, but even LC0s score went back to the one 20 moves before. 75...a4...

Re: Spectacular incursion of the King

In the following game from a test, the King of Lc0 made a spectacular incursion into enemy territory, with queen, two rooks and two minor pieces present on the board. The risk of checkmate was diminished by two advanced pawns that caused poor coordination of enemy pieces. The test was done with Bal...

Re: Dramatic drop in performance with LC0 after updating Cuda drivers

The .dll files enclosed to Leela are for Windows 10 64bits. If one uses Windows 7 64bits system that one is forced to mine out the .dll files from CUDA.exe for Windows 7 and from the cudnn-10.0-windows7...zip file. No. Why no? Maybe Leela works with the enclosed .dll files on Windows 7 64 bits too ...
