Re: CombiChess by Tom Friederich

Hello, can CombiChess https://github.com/tom0334/CombiChess be used as an ordinary frontend like Arena , ChessGUI, Scid vsPC or WinBoard Interface... What don't you understand from the readme? CombiChess a "chess engine" that combines 3 engines into one. It works by essentially asking 3 different e...

Re: chessbase fritz 16 vs komodo 12

I was thinking of buying fritz 16 because of the new training features (assisted and tactical analysis and other new features). But I saw komodo 12 with the monte carlo feature. My questions are: 1. Does komodo have every training feature Fritz 16 has but with the added monte carlo feature? 2. Does...

Re: TCEC news, believe it or not (no ifs or buts)

1. Komodo won Premier Division with 0.5 score ahead of Stockfish, ( 31 points and 30.5 points ). (Full stop) 2. Leela on TCEC CPU (CPU) is performing 3200+ rating. (Full stop) After what happened last season, it seems unreal that komodo is now the winner (before superfinal). Does sf have any big an...

Re: Developer tests of Stockfish need Stockfish 8 instead of Stockfish 7

His answer was that he wants to keep his special style...and will never use the quote function. (He was one of the first I ...

Re: winboard time management

The first thing you should do is creating a winboard debug file and compare

Re: Topple

During implementation of both programs ("UCI-compatibility") into WinBoard Interface I used the option -debug, but I cannot see a special saved debug file of WinBoard 4.8.0 (like Arena and ChessGUI does). Why? Regards, Norbert 'During implementation of both programs ("UCI-compatibility") into WinBo...

Re: Topple

So I've finally finished implementing UCI and I've created the first release of my engine on GitHub: https://github.com/konsolas/ToppleChess/releases/tag/v0.0.3 Windows binary (mingw-w64), but it's a cmake project so it should be easy to compile on other operating systems. Any feedback and suggesti...
