Re: Fire question!

Hi Andrew, ah, not read that. Fire is tested in FCP-Tourney-2020 so I have a place more for FCP-Tourney-2021. But I think Fire 7.1 should participate for the next tourney. On the other hand ... Resurgence of Fire will be each one understand directly, not a religious wonder! From 2018 - summer 2020 I...

Re: Official Release of Ethereal 12.50

Andrew, yes, yes ... I have to start directly the download order! Ethereal The Fighter (high move-average without resign parameter) but all what Ehtereal produced is great material for my opening analyzes and database stats. You remember on FCP Toruney-2020 round 2, game vs. Fizbo! The position I ha...

Re: Texel, Nemorino, Chiron questions!

Hi, good news! I think a lot of programmers are working on NNUE ideas. I wish me that not all of TOP-programs will use NNUE but maybe I am to antiquated / old fashioned. I am 53 years old and not 25. So for different things I need a bit more time as others. Yesterday I got the comment from my wife, ...

Fire question!

Hi Norman, I saw that a newer Fire version started on TCEC toruney. I have interest to test with FCP Tourney-2021 a newer version from Fire too. The problem is: I will see available programs in my tourneys only (will not use private available programs or private versions of available engines). You k...

Texel, Nemorino, Chiron questions!

Hi there, Texel: Here we have version 1.07 and version 1.08 a13 The question is: Will be in the near future a newer release available or is 1.08 a13 the last version! Never I am sure in testing Texel with the versions! Chiron: A newer version as v4 plays IGT-2018 It would be great if this version wi...

Re: Chess experiment

That is really interesting. Spassky - Fischer, 1972 Bishop takes h2 (Reykjavik) ... So each one of us can beat Bobby Fischer in such a position. Not in reality but GM are humens only! Means if KI works fine all is possible! And to have a chess computer with a very realistic style from our 16 World C...

Re: Chess experiment

Hi Charles, that my first thoughts as I read the Google news about learning, before LCO was available. We can try to produced the style of Petrosjan, Spassky, Fischer, Aljechin, Karpow and Co with learning of games. Over 3.000 Kortchnoi games are available for us. Enough material!! I think it make m...

Re: RubiChess NNUE player implemented

Hi Andrew, remember on all the different IPPs. Today not longer a big topic. The work the Fire programmer made was great or the ideas the GullChess programmer have (clearly better king safty ... Fruit / Rybka SAGA). All the 100-games IPP matches between same engines I can found here. Of course 1-Min...

Re: OKE - one year after

Hi Ed, iCE have an own style and yes the style is interesting. The eval is much higher as for other engines. Same for Texel or Fizbo. For the moment iCE have to many holes in king safty, easy to see with FCP Tourney stats. For opening analyzes not one of the best engines (problems in closed position...
