On June 16 2019 Cock de Gorter, former chairman of the CSVN, has passed away at 70. According to the little information I received, he was already ill for some time. The name Fritz is owned by Chessbase. The engine has been different engines over the last versions. After Frans Morsch (up to version 13) and Gyula Horvath (version 14) they might be looking for another programmer/engine for the Fritz engine. Thanks Sven, I've corrected it. In the mean time there is also a program available for Windows to run the similarity test. See the download section on the website. And indeed it is one of the main goals of our tournaments to have programmers around to share knowledge with each other. This is stimula...

For use with older compilers, you might also have a look at the Boost libraries (http://www.boost.org. Threads and more have come from there into the C++11 standard.
