Re: Carlsen plays thousands of games anonymously online
It wasn't Fischer. It was someone using a programme. Fischer denied it was him in a radio interview.

Re: Pervious World Champion Engine Authors Speak Out...
I took a look at the Rybka forum to see if this topic was allowed to be posted and it was there. I was fascinated by the fan-boys trying to defend Rybka as an original program  http://rybkaforum.net/cgi-bin/rybkaforum/topic_show.pl?tid=21059 Cordially, Sean Here's an attempt at a defence by Ne...

Re: Pervious World Champion Engine Authors Speak Out...
I would suggest you hang on to your hat, and keep your seatbelt securely fastened. There is more to this story than has been revealed to date. It will be exposed on the ICGA WIKI however. And it really does paint an ugly picture that I did not expect. ! What else is there? Vas guilty of witchcraft?...

Re: Previous World Champion Engine Authors Speak Out...
You have said that even if found innocent, he is still guilty in your eyes. I will go you one better. If he is found guilty- he is still innocent in my eyes. Only the victim of being railroaded by a bunch of second place finishers. What is the basis for your certainty that Vas is innocent? I imagin...

Re: Common sense returns to CCRL
Hi Gerold, a rating list have to test engines. Main order for an engine is to play chess and not which political reasons are in background. Best Frank Possible theft is something different than "political reasons". For the rest i agree with the purpose of a rating list. Best regards, Kaj I think th...

Re: David Levy asked for opinions
In a new statement on chessvibes from Febr 21st, David Levy wrote (in extract): The ICGA will be strongly guided by this tribunal in its decisions as to the truth or otherwise of such allegations, and in its decisions as to what sanctions if any should be imposed on those found by the tribunal to h...

Re: FSF, Fabien,Fruit 2.1-Rybka Beta1 and the LAW-Read This
Hi George This seems to be the crucial passage from your post: Not being critical of anyone here, but the judge told me the biggest mistake made was by Fabien when he put the code out there- then tried to argue exactly how much could and could not be taken from it. He said any judge anywhere- hear o...

Re: What the computer chess community needs to decide
Here's a question. Suppose Rybka, Strelka, the Ippolit family and Houdini were wiped off the face of the earth, with all traces of these programs permanently removed. Let's throw in Naum for good measure. The whole extended family of great-grandpa Fruit.
Would this be a good thing?

Re: Who I Look For in this Rybka Mess That I Trust the Most
Bob, you are probably right, but that person or persons- their opinions aren't worth the paper written on if they have already determined guilt. If the persons dont go in with an open mind, giving the guy a chance- they are more worthless than the paper they write on. If a juror walked into the cou...
