Re: Best engine for use with Aquarium IDeA

Houdini has pulled ahead in my 17 ply tournament. They are playing the last game of 10 now, and Houdini leads 3-2-4. I will give the results later, but I will be gone most of the day, so it will be tonight before I can enter it here.

Best engine for use with Aquarium IDeA

Most folks that run computer engine competitions seem to use some variation of tournament time controls. This is a good way to measure ELO, but maybe not the best way to measure an analysis mode suitable for usage in IDeA. In IDeA many people use a fixed depth type of search, say something in the ra...

I agree with you too and I do not condone what I think Vas has done. But my sarcasm...

Re: Nice observation!

Yeah, why not rob some people in the streets too? All this silly debate as to legality... It reminds me of the monty python movie "search for the holy grail" where after a skirmish where people were killed, the king of the swamp castle said: Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's no...

Contribution to TCEC

Anyone know how to contribute to TCEC?

I clicked thru on their Paypal donate icon at the bottom left of their Information page, and Paypal kicks me with a message saying that the account is closed. No further explanation given.

Re: I was curious about the fuss over Fruit...

I am no lawyer, but I doubt if it is necessary to have a copyright notice in every file. When I buy a book, I also usually do not se a copyright notice on every page... It is my habit of many years. When I was coding professionally, my lawyer advised me EVERY file needed a notice, each source code ...
