Interesting tactical position from infinity chess

How long until your engine sees utter devastation for white?
Does not take too long to see the right move, but it takes a bit to see how damaging it is.

7 man syzygy thing I do not understand (max win distance)

All the files (including ones with pawns) seem to have 100 as the maximum distance to mate.
But the counter should reset if I move a pawn, castle, or capture a piece.
I do not understand how 100 can be the maximum.

Why is it that no position in the 7 man files has a mate distance greater than 100.

Re: MRL - The MEA Rating List

{snip} I had been studying how engine score can be converted to a point system. One method to handle the negative scores is by using logistic function. scoring_rate = 1/[1 + 10 ^(-score_cp/400)] Example from reb-glob.epd rnbq1rk1/pp2bppp/5n2/2pN4/2Pp4/3Q1NP1/PP2PPBP/R1B2RK1 b - - bm Nc6; c3 Nc6; ac...

Stockfish does not see a clear win for white even after a long time.
I wonder if computers can win GM's with black from that position.
I think that given a large number of games, a computer can win with black from that position against itself.

LC0 graph puzzle

On: http://lczero.org/ We have three recent fails on Network ID 412, 422, and 432 (interesting exactly 10 gap between each). The Elo for the failure points appears to be much higher than the success points. That does not make sense to me. What are the criteria for pass/fail? It seems logical to me t...

Re: MRL - The MEA Rating List

Yes, my formula is quite complicated. But, I think that (for instance) it is crucial to include depth. And a dominant score at a lower depth should be considered (and probably reanalyzed). However, your efforts are quite interesting. I have two computer programs I use to analyze the data to produce ...

Some analysis logs of the rebel positions using Arena and multi-pv (set to 9) analysis (it is only a fraction of the data used, but was created recently and might be interesting to some): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wdu2IUxJhKDVkM8Kk5m11R7l92Ac9xUT/view?usp=sharing Engines used: Stockfish (blee...

Not sure if CA 15 is the same as CA 14, but in 14, you click the personalities button and then threads is a sliding scale.
