Re: Could this be the best game of all time by a Female Player?

Re: Sting Sf 12

Some notes: Most of your positions have non standard things in them. In other words, chess engines and chess database systems cannot process them. They are not legal as PGN or EPD. I have made legal EPD records out of your data. There are still some minor issues. For instance, chess engines and ches...

Re: Could this be the best game of all time by a Female Player?

The best women's game of all time will have been played by Judit Polgar against a very strong opponent. If not by her then by Jun Xie. If not by her, then by Yifan Hou. If not by her then by Wenjun Ju. Of course, I am trying to measure greatness as a clash of titans. But greatness could also be meas...

No idea what went wrong there.

can someone explain what's the story of this position and why Bh5 is winning? Stockfish for example like hxg3 or Qe6.
Bh5 is best by far (see analysis else-thread) with an advantage of well over one pawn
Qd8 is second best, with a small advantage of about 1/2 pawn
All other moves draw or lose.

These are extracted from World Blitz Chess Championship 2017 from a program I wrote past year during summer. https://justpaste.it/5aiig I'm not an extremely strong chess player, so I'm unsure of the worth of the puzzles that it generates, but I've tried to make them look like if they were picked by...

Re: Quality of these computer generated puzzles

Colin Frayn also wrote a checkmate generator, where you supply the desired material configuration and it will generate checkmates with that configuration. Do you know of a link ? Binary: http://www.frayn.net/beowulf/matetest.zip Code: http://www.frayn.net/beowulf/matetestc.zip I modified the source...
